Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Spinach

  • 1/2 TBSP Soy sauce

  • 1/2 TBSP Sweetener of your choice *1

  • 1 ~ 2 TBSP Ground sesame seeds *2

Instructions

  1. Steam or quick boil spinach just until spinach is cooked(do not over cook). Rinse in cold water, cut and squeeze well.

  2. Mix soy sauce and sweetener first then add ground sesame seeds.

  3. Mix sauce and spinach.

NOTE:

*1, This recipe used agave syrup, but honey, coconut sugar, brown sugar are also good.

*2, White or black both good. Roasted or toasted sesame seeds gets better flavour.
・It is an additional step, but using freshly roasted sesame seeds brings this dish to a next level!
Roast sesame seeds in a pan for 5-10 minutes on low-medium heat, mix constantly and pulse them for a few times with grinder or finger grinding(it’s called “hineri-goma).
